Not your average lifestyle sessions

One of my favorite things about sessions, is that they can be so much more than just posing for a camera.

The goal of the Choose Your Adventure Sessions is to document your experiences - whether it takes you out of your comfort zone to try something new, or to enjoy the simple, small things that maybe you don’t notice in the crazy day-to-day.

Step 01:

Pick your session aesthetic

There are three aesthetics to choose from.

  • THE EDITORIAL FLASH SESSION:

    These sessions are more directed, but till let you breathe and have fun.

    We’ll be using camera flash, finding natural shadows or sunlight, and really playing with the location.

    WHO ARE THESE SESSIONS FOR?

    Couples and families that want photos that are more non-traditional and a little funky.

  • THE ADVENTURE SESSION:

    This session is if you want something a little more traditional to a family or couples session- some posed photos and candids but in a location that you love or is a new place you’re hoping to visit.

    WHO ARE THESE SESSIONS FOR?

    Couples and families that really love the traditional photos (family group shots, posing/direction, etc) but also want some nice candids.

  • THE DOCUMENTARY SESSION:

    This session is where I’m a fly on the wall - no posing or direction. You are leading the session by living in the moment of your chosen activity. This is to capture real, documentary moments that aren’t brought about by posing or direction.

    WHO ARE THESE SESSIONS FOR?

    Couples and families that maybe dislike the traditional aspect of sessions - you want real, authentic, raw moments documented without fake chortling or saying “cheeeeeeese” to the camera. These are personally my favorite sessions to do.

Step 02: Pick your session date/time

When I’m about to do a family session of my own, I’m SO excited to get new photos to print out, gawk at how cute my kid is, and make them every device background.

But one thing I know is that life moves fast. Kids grow (literally) overnight, maybe you’re growing your hair out, or one minute you're engaged and the next your five months into being married. I wanted the Choose Your Adventure Sessions to be flexible.

So, you have the option to do your one-hour session on one day, or to split it into two different days. Maybe you want to do a 30 minute in the spring and then a 30 minute in the autumn, or have it be couples photos in the summer, and a bigger family session in the winter when family is around.

Sessions will take place at your choosing in Auburn, Skaneateles or Aurora.

Step 03: Answer your questions (rapid fire)

How much is this? $400 + if you book in April you get $30.00 off!

How long are sessions? 60 minutes.


How many images do we receive? 150 photographs delivered + ~25 film photos taken on 35mm film.

What is the turnaround time? Your full gallery is sent within 14 days after the session through an online gallery, where you can download, share and order prints. Film photos may be a little delayed with processing.

  • Choose Your Adventure Sessions take place in Auburn, Skaneateles, and Aurora.

    Locations in other places will be a small travel fee.

  • Ah, the sweet smell of falling leaves and crisp apples. I don’t blame you!

    If you’d like to book a session with me and schedule it for the autumn, it is 1000% doable.

    Once you send over a retainer and that books me for a date in 2026. I’ll get in touch with you around September and we’ll find a time where the leaves are popping off and it’s not full coat weather.
