VENDOR RECOMMENDATIONS

β€” PLANNERS & COORDINATORS β€”

I LOVE working with planners - not only does it alleviate stress on the wedding day, but it also helps you organize everything leading up to it, without feeling overwhelmed.

If a wedding planner isn’t in your budget, inquire about a day/month-of coordinator. Venue coordinators are mostly there to ensure that the venue is taken care of and less about the wedding experience itself.

I’d also recommend going with a LOCAL planner instead of a national organization. It’s a more personal experience and the national organizations that I’ve worked with have not been great for my clients..

The Reason I love Planners & Coordinators:

On the wedding day, they aren’t just putting organizing you

  • They are corralling family and wedding party members for photos ten minutes before they begin (so you don’t have to),

  • Answering all of your guests’ questions (so you don’t have to ),

  • Adjusting the timeline if there is a setback or delay with a vendor throughout the day (so you don’t have think about it),

  • Helping the vendors (like me!) with any changes, pivots, last minute details, questions or guest/vendor concerns (while you get to chat with friends),

  • Checking in with you throughout the day to ensure you feel hydrated, present and ENJOYING the wedding!

β€” DESSERTS β€”

Oma Nona’s Italian Cookies -

we had these cookies for our wedding and anytime I see Margaret I buy at least three bags of cookies from her.

Joelle Eats Cake -

If you’re looking for a unique, funky cake design, Joelle is perfect!

The Love Bean -

This is another whimsical baker who has some truly gorgeous (and delicious) works.

Biscotti’s Cafe -

Italian cookies in the Syracuse area - I could eat an entire tray of their rainbow cookies. DELISH.

The Patisserie Skaneateles -

Amazing cakes! Their stretch bread will have you accidentally eat an entire tub of butter with it. I was at a wedding expo with them last year and at the end I took a whole take-out containers worth of cakes and cupcakes. It lasted one day before it was gone.

Skaneateles Bakery -

Last but CERTAINLY not least - Skaneateles Bakery’s donuts are holy in our family, and their desserts are too.

VIDEOGRAPHERS

If I’m your photographer…

-Rose White Films

-Geist House Photo + Film

-Olive & Rye Creative Co

If a videographer is out of your budget, there are two options -

1. if you like the camcorder look, you can purchase one or two of them and then assign friends or family to film throughout the day

2. I offer add-ons for ceremony, speeches, first dance, guest advice videos - whatever you’d like covered!

I highly recommend having some sort of video from your wedding day. My husband and I rewatch our wedding ceremony every anniversary and literally sob the whole time.

β€” RENTALS β€”

If you won’t want to purchase a bunch of items you’ll end up throwing away or giving away, I highly recommend renting. She Rents Vintage, Pretty Little Vintage Co, and Elizabeth’s Chair Covers are eco-friendly ways to incorporate beautiful details without worrying about where it will go after.

If you’re looking for dinnerware, lounges, linens, tables, and more. Most venues in the Auburn/Skan/Syracuse/Ithaca area work with these amazing ladies.

β€” DJ β€”

All of these DJ’s are SO nice, they keep the party going, and they know how to structure your reception. They also keep vendors posted on when events are starting ahead of time so we never miss a moment, and let guests know exactly what to do or where to go. I have nothing but good things to say about these vendors.

Selkie - this is actually where I got my dress! I really was not looking forward to dress shopping, and my sister recommended I check out Selkie - I got the most perfect wedding dress that fit me like a glove without any alterations but triple checking the measurements online. If you want to avoid dress shopping, I recommend Selkie.
